About QuickTechTrix

... We're All About Networking

QuickTechTrix (QTT) is a subsidiary of Atcom Services, Inc., which has been serving the telecommunications and electrical Industries with a presence on the web for more than 12 years, providing a wide variety of technical articles, industry information and products. Our staff includes seasoned industry professionals with many years of combined experience and various certifications and accreditations, including the RCDD.

To enhance our knowledge and product offerings, we have recently reached out and increased our networking through our immense contact base that we have built over our many years in business. We realize the powerful tool we have in networking with our peer professionals. Through this process of networking, we came up with the idea to start a website that would bring together the minds in our industry to serve for the better cause of all.

We started by creating a list of professional associations that serve our industry and related industries. When we finished the list, we were awe struck by the sheer number of associations (currently 35 listed), many of which we didn't even know about until starting this project. In fact, we may have not even scratched the surface yet there may even be several more associations out there.

Our industry has standards associations (i.e. UL and TIA) and government entities (i.e. FCC). There are literally thousands of IBEW and CWA local unions across the nation. We also have professional magazines and periodicals, newsletters, and learning institutions. And of course we cannot forget Wireville's HOTS (Heard On the Street), which is an incredible resource for gossip, changes and happenings in the industry. The enormity of it all can be sort of overwhelming when think of it, but yet, it’s a small world. Have you heard about the theory of Six Degrees of Separation? At QTT, we will not rest until we achieve only one or two degrees of separation for most people in our profession, or at least we will try.

Being a member of a professional trade association is a great way to stay abreast of current industry information and network with peers. Take BICSI for example. It is probably one of the largest telecommunications associations in the world, and yet a vast portion of people in our industries have never even heard of BICSI. In contrast, many BICSI members have never heard of CABA (Continental Automated Buildings Association) or even the huge entity called NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association). These types of disconnections go on and on. Our mission at QTT is to change all of that. We are all about networking professionals from every possible segment of the industry.
